Rotary Shear SPR RS, a robust and versatile equipment for waste shredding

Trituración de residuos.

Rotary Shear SPR RS is a crushing equipment developed, commercialized and manufactured by SPR Group specially designed to treat material of a certain volume such as Scrap Tires (TDF), even with steel heel, or Waste of Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

Rotary Shear SPR RS operation

The two rotating cutting shafts that make up the Rotary Shear SPR RS are driven by the individual gearboxes in opposite directions in order to trap waste and cut the input material, crushing it both lengthwise and transversely thanks to the configuration of the cutting chamber. The disc blades mounted on the cutting shafts have hooks that help to grip the input material for further shredding.

According to the particularities of the introduced residues and the needs of each client, the size of the cut used by the Rotary Shear SPR RS can be determined according to the number of blades, the width of these and the number of teeth each of the discs has, so the crushing equipment is completely versatile and can be dimensioned according to the customer’s requirements.

Maximum production at the waste treatment plant

By this way, the Rotary Shear SPR RS can be fitted with a hydraulic pusher specially designed to provide support in the treatment of shredding of waste of low density or large size requiring help to be caught by the teeth of the shredder thereby increasing the production levels of the crushing equipment.

Equipped with a sophisticated quick exchange system for cutting shafts, this shredding equipment allows you to increase availability and reduce interruptions to perform maintenance tasks. It is only necessary to remove the hopper by means of hydraulic system, and immediately after that cutting shafts in use can be removed and replaced by complete units.

Waste and advantages of crushing equipment

The Rotary Shear SPR RS has a completely versatile configuration capability, which makes it can effective shredding equipment for waste such as Scrap Tyres (TDF), Commercial & Industrial Waste (C&I), Alternative Fuels (RDF), Paper & Cardboard (P&C), Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE), Medical Waste and Hazardous Waste.

This crushing equipment, in addition to being manufactured with top quality materials, including key parts such as motors and reducers, has a very low maintenance cost, because it imposes a high level of resistance to wear and tear and the improper ones that appear during the process of crushing the waste. The quick replacement of the blades by means of the change of cutting shafts allows to offer the equipment a high rate of availability, thus increasing the production levels of the treatment plant. The different sizes of the equipment available and the versatility of the configuration of the blades also offer the ability to adapt to the requirements of the particularities of each customer.

Other shredding equipment from SPR Group

Beyond the Rotary Shear SPR RS, SPR Group has other equipment for the shredding of waste. The SPR Bag Opener is a machine specifically designed to open bags of all sizes and empty them, or the SPR PreCrusher, is a clear evolution of the previous one but destined to the treatment of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
